SINGING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM FOR THE NEW YORK RANGERS 2023 HOCKEY FIGHTS CANCER NIGHT
One of the most unforgettable nights of my life was when I was given the incredible opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the New York Rangers Hockey Fights Cancer Night. These special games, held throughout the NHL season, celebrate the bravery of those fighting cancer and honor the supporters who stand by them. It was an amazing evening at Madison Square Garden filled with inspiration and heartfelt moments.
Singing the anthem live on TV was both exhilarating and nerve-wracking. I spent countless hours practicing, and I’m deeply grateful to Garden of Dreams for providing me with the guidance and feedback that boosted my confidence. The feeling of hearing my own voice echo through the arena was something I will never forget. Being able to represent my community as a pediatric cancer survivor, surrounded by fellow cancer survivors behind me and throughout the arena, made the entire experience even more personal and impactful.

At the time, I was working as a Student Associate/Intern at Madison Square Garden Sports as a Motion Graphics designer. The advertising graphic seen on the GardenVision jumbotron was one that I had the opportunity to create myself! It was incredible having my entire team watching and supporting me.
